This book is in reasonable condition it does have a minor repair to the jacket >>amazon review The story starts in the US and moves to London at the beginning of WWII but although fiction the historical facts are correct. It is a huge story covering great characters. I was lucky enough to buy another of her books 'Juffie Kane' in a charity shop. I had my doubts as it was printed in the late 80's but again I couldn't put it down. It tells the story of a 'big' star and her life and friendships. There is no mention of this author on 'Fantastic Fiction site so I don't know whether or not she's dead
